What would you tell your mother if you could raise her yourself?

What would you tell your mother if you could raise her yourself?

If you were born again…
and this time, you were born as the mother of your mother, what would you tell her?

Before anything else, I would hold her tightly.
I would fill her with the kind of love that makes someone feel completely safe in the world. I would kiss her often and remind her, every single day, that she deserves a beautiful life waiting for her.

I would tell her to walk through life with confidence.
To never be afraid of taking up space.
To believe that her ideas matter.
And that I would always stand beside her, encouraging her to go after her dreams.

Although honestly, I wouldn’t just encourage her.
I would push her to dream even bigger. Bigger than what she thinks is possible. I would tell her to run toward a beautiful life without feeling guilty for wanting one.

Because so many women grew up learning how to care for everyone except themselves. And maybe that’s why, when we find objects, spaces, or small rituals that make us feel at home, something inside of us finally softens.

Maybe a home is built that way too:
through things that remind us who we are, what we love, and what we want to keep close to our hearts.

Today I just wanted to remind you of that.

Happy Mother’s Day,
Nat

PS. Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about the objects we keep close to us… and how a home can quietly hold memory, comfort and identity. Thank you for letting Casa Lanna Ha be part of yours.
