A small-scale textile meant to bring rhythm and presence into a wall composition.
This Otomi embroidery was created in Tenango de Doria, Hidalgo, where traditional textile practices continue through slow handwork and generational knowledge. Each figure was first drawn directly onto the cotton surface, then embroidered stitch by stitch using the traditional pata de gallo technique.
Its scale allows it to live beautifully in hallways, staircases, reading corners, or layered gallery walls.
Quiet in size. Strong in presence.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
Entirely handmade by Otomí artisans using 100% cotton fabric and thread.
This piece took approximately 3 days to complete.
Original Otomi textile created by artisans from Hidalgo, using traditional an ancestral embroidering technique.
Each piece is later framed and manually finished by Casa Lanna Ha, transforming the artwork into a contemporary wall object designed for intentional interiors.
No printing.
No machine embroidery.
Only hand-guided process and time.
The delicacy of the figure and stitching density require slower work over the textile surface, giving the piece its texture and definition.
