This hand-embroidered Otomí runner was created in Tenango de Doria, Hidalgo, where traditional embroidery continues to live through slow, intentional handwork. Every figure was first drawn directly onto the cotton fabric, then embroidered stitch by stitch using the traditional pata de gallo technique.
The result is a contemporary textile with deep Mexican roots — full of movement, texture, and quiet strength.

CRAFTSMANSHIP
Entirely handmade by Otomí artisans in Mexico using 100% cotton fabric and thread.
This piece took approximately 3 weeks to complete.
No printing.
No machines.
Only handwork built slowly over time.
The embroidery density and delicacy of each figure require a longer process, giving the textile its rich texture and refined finish.

• Textile Size: 20.5” x 33” APPROX. You´ll recive only the embroidery folded on a box.
• Fabric Bordered Size: the final size will depend on the size of the border you choose to add on. You´ll recieve the embroidery with a fabric border ready to hang and rolled up on a protective tube.
**Variations in sizes are expected 1"- 2" due to artisanal process**
• Finishes: Choose from Wood Frame, Fabric Border (NO GLASS, NO WOOD) or Textile Only. Request information about colors and finishes for the fabric border. In any case we DON´T add glass because of the transportation.

To help protect the embroidery colors during washing, we recommend using color-catching sheets such as Shout Color Catcher.
