This hand embroidered Otomí textile is created using a traditional technique from Tenango de Doria, Hidalgo, where each motif holds meaning beyond decoration.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
Each piece is entirely handmade using 100% cotton fabric and thread.
The design is first drawn directly onto the fabric and then embroidered stitch by stitch using the traditional Otomí technique, creating depth, texture, and character.
This is not printed or machine-made — it is a slow, intentional process that takes several weeks to complete, resulting in a truly unique piece.
Created in collaboration with artisans from Hidalgo and curated by Casa Lanna Ha as a contemporary textile for intentional interiors.
Each piece is later finished with a fabric backing for wall display, allowing the textile to move beyond the table and into the space as contemporary textile art.
