Otomi Hand embroidered wall hanging decor. One of a kind piece.
A contemporary textile handcrafted by artisans from Tenango de Doria, Hidalgo, where Otomi embroidery has been preserved through generations. Every composition is first hand-drawn directly onto the fabric and later embroidered entirely by hand using the traditional “pata de gallo” stitch.
This highly detailed embroidery required approximately 3 weeks of artisan work, creating a unique textile piece filled with movement, texture and craftsmanship.
Designed to bring warmth, texture and identity into contemporary interiors, this piece can be styled as framed wall art, layered textile decor or displayed in hallways, staircases and creative spaces.
Created in collaboration with artisans from Hidalgo and curated by Casa Lanna Ha as a contemporary textile for intentional interiors.
Each textile is later altered with a fabric backing for wall hanging, transforming the piece from a traditional object into a contemporary presence within the home.
