This hand embroidered Otomi textile is created using a traditional technique from Tenango de Doria, Hidalgo, where each motif holds meaning beyond decoration.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
Each piece is entirely handmade using 100% cotton fabric and thread.
The design is first drawn directly onto the fabric and then embroidered stitch by stitch using the traditional Otomí technique, creating depth, texture, and character.
Created in collaboration with artisans from Hidalgo and curated by Casa Lanna Ha as a contemporary textile for intentional interiors.
Each textile is later altered with a fabric backing for wall hanging, transforming the piece from a traditional object into a contemporary presence within your home.
This is not printed or machine-made — it is a slow, intentional process that takes several months to complete, resulting in a truly unique piece.
