This hand embroidered Otomí pillow cover is created using a traditional technique from Tenango de Doria, Hidalgo, where each motif holds meaning beyond decoration.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
Each piece is entirely handmade using 100% cotton fabric and thread.
The design is first drawn directly onto the fabric and then embroidered stitch by stitch using the traditional Otomí technique, creating depth, texture, and character.
Created in collaboration with artisans from Hidalgo and curated by Casa Lanna Ha as a contemporary textile for intentional interiors.
Each cushion is later finished with handmade pompoms or contrasting piping, adding movement, texture, and a contemporary textile presence within the space.
This is not printed or machine-made — it is a slow, intentional process that results in a truly unique piece.
