This hand-embroidered Otomí poncho is made in Tenango de Doria, Hidalgo — where each figure is drawn and stitched by hand, carrying a visual language rooted in tradition.
It’s not just a garment.
It’s a textile that moves with you.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
Each poncho is entirely handmade using 100% cotton fabric and thread.
The embroidery is built stitch by stitch, a process that takes around 3 weeks to complete.
Handembroidered Mexican textile intervened and finished by Casa Lanna Ha with handmade fringe detailing and contemporary textile styling.
Each piece begins as an artisan-made textile and is later curated, assembled, and refined through manual finishing processes that highlight its texture, movement, and character.
Created in collaboration with Mexican artisans and reinterpreted as a contemporary textile piece for intentional interiors and wearable art.
No machines.
No printing.
Only time, hands, and attention.
Each piece holds slight variations — not imperfections, but the mark of real work.
HOW IT WEARS
Designed as a one-size piece, its structure without sleeves allows it to adapt naturally to different bodies.

The embroidery is worked on both sides, giving it weight and visual depth.
I personally wear it with jeans, high heels, and a clutch.

CARE
Wash in cold water using a gentle cycle and mild detergent.
Avoid dry cleaning — harsh chemicals damage the threads.
Do not use a dryer. Heat weakens the embroidery.
Air dry only.
