DESCRIPTION
A large-scale Otomi textile created to transform a space through color, texture and presence.
This one-of-a-kind piece features black embroidery filled with multicolor details, hand stitched in Tenango de Doria, Hidalgo using traditional Otomi embroidery techniques.
Each motif was first drawn directly onto cotton fabric and then embroidered by hand over four months of detailed work using the traditional “pata de gallo” stitch.
No printing. No machines.
Only thread, fabric and human hands.
