THE STORY TO BRING MEXICO HOME
Not all textiles are meant to decorate.
Some are meant to define a space.
This round hand-embroidered Otomí tablecloth is a one-of-a-kind piece created in Tenango de Doria, Hidalgo, Mexico. A vibrant multicolor composition centered around a sun motif — designed to hold presence, not just fill a surface.
Created in collaboration with artisans from Hidalgo and curated by Casa Lanna Ha as a contemporary textile for intentional interiors.
Each piece is later finished with a fabric frame for table display, allowing the textile to move beyond the table and into the space as contemporary textile art.
CRAFTSMANSHIP
Handmade using 100% cotton fabric and thread.
The design is drawn directly onto the textile and embroidered stitch by stitch using traditional Otomí technique.
Approximate time: 3 months.
No machines. No printing.
