This hand-embroidered Otomí passport case was created in Tenango de Doria, Hidalgo, where traditional embroidery continues to live through slow, intentional handwork. Every figure was first drawn directly onto the cotton fabric, then embroidered stitch by stitch using the traditional pata de gallo technique.
The result is a contemporary textile with deep Mexican roots — full of movement, texture, and quiet strength.

Entirely handmade by Otomí artisans in Mexico using 100% cotton fabric and thread.
This piece took approximately 3 weeks to complete.
No printing.
No machines.
Only handwork built slowly over time.
The embroidery density and delicacy of each figure require a longer process, giving the textile its rich texture and refined finish.
