This set of 6 hand-embroidered Otomi coasters is worked in tan thread over a soft ivory base, allowing texture—not color—to lead. Each piece is drawn and embroidered by hand in Tenango de Doria, Hidalgo.
What you receive is exactly what you see: a finished set, already made, already holding its story.

Craftsmanship
Each coaster is hand-traced directly onto the fabric and embroidered using the traditional “pata de gallo” stitch.
Created in collaboration with artisans from Hidalgo and curated by Casa Lanna Ha as a contemporary textile for intentional interiors.
Each coaster is later intervened with natural linen backing, transforming the textile into a more sculptural and contemporary object for the home.
This set took approximately 3 days to complete by Otomi artisans who carry this technique as part of their daily practice.
